The top conservative radio host in the United States is slamming Twitter for allegedly promoting political opinions that paint President Trump in an unfair light.
Rush Limbaugh called the social media giant a "political sewer" on his Wednesday show and questioned the reach of the platform that routinely acts as a clearinghouse for news coverage.
"When Twitter goes viral, nobody really has any idea what that means, but I'll guarantee you what they think," said Limbaugh. "When they're told that 'Twitter is lit up,' or 'Twitter went viral,' they think the whole country is reacting to whatever it is, I'll guaran-damn-tee-it."
Twitter posted fact-check hyperlinks to two of Trump's tweets about mail-in voter fraud Tuesday. The fact-checking links directed users to articles by several media outlets, including CNN and the Washington Post.
Trump shot back at the media platform today, warning that "big action" was in store for what he views as Twitter interfering with the 2020 presidential election.
Limbaugh, who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in February, agreed with Trump's assessment and claimed the political portions of the platform are centered around liberal reporters and media outlets.
