Media Coverage of Alleged Biden Sexual Assault Sparks Bias Accusations

Summary from the AllSides News Team

Media coverage of Tara Reade's sexual assault allegation against Joe Biden is the center of controversy about double-standards, partisan politics and media bias. Right-rated outlets, Republican politicians and others on the right accuse some media of downplaying the accusations to purportedly protect Biden, with some focusing on how mainstream journalists have not asked Biden or his potential running mates about the allegations directly. Some left-rated media, Democratic politicians and others on the left make the argument that Biden's reputation is being smeared in an effort to hurt his 2020 election chances.
