Twitter strongly voted for Twitter CEO Elon Musk to step down as the head of the company in a poll that he posted to his account late Sunday afternoon.

Musk posted the poll after a botched policy rollout earlier in the day, which prohibited users from promoting rival social media platforms, led to backlash on Twitter.

“Should I step down as head of Twitter?” Musk tweeted. “I will abide by the results of this poll.”

The poll concluded with 17,502,391 accounts voting. The results were 57.5% to remove Musk, and 42.5% voting for him to remain in control.
