Third-Party Claims of Bias

Amanpour was heavily criticized in the summer of 2016 after an interview with Daniel Hannan for claiming that Brexit was a result of  "white identity and xenophobia." In an opinion column, Amanpour stated, "I believe in being truthful, not neutral." Amanpour has been criticized as reporting with a left bias, with a National Review writer saying, "she’s a walking parody of an unhinged leftist ‘reporter.’

About Christiane Amanpour

Christiane Amanpour is CNN's Chief International Anchor.

Amanpour was hired by CNN in 1983 and covered stories such as the Persian Gulf War, Iraq's occupation of Kuwait, and the Bosnian War. In 2010, Amanpour left CNN for ABC News where she would be an anchor on This Week.
