About SF Weekly's Bias Rating
SF Weekly is a news media source with an AllSides Media Bias Rating™ of Center.
What a "Center" Rating Means
Sources with an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Center either do not show much predictable media bias, display a balance of articles with left and right biases, or equally balance left and right perspectives.
Center doesn't mean better! A Center media bias rating does not necessarily mean a source is totally unbiased, neutral, perfectly reasonable, or credible, just as Left and Right don't necessarily mean extreme, wrong, unreasonable, or not credible. AllSides encourages people to read outlets across the political spectrum.

SF Weekly is a free alternative weekly newspaper in San Francisco, California. The newspaper, distributed throughout the San Francisco Bay Area every Wednesday, is published by the San Francisco Newspaper Company. Founded locally in the mid-1980s and bought by Village Voice Media (then New Times Media) in 1995, SF Weekly has garnered notable national journalism awards. The paper sponsors the annual SF Weekly Music Awards, also known as the "Wammies". In September 2012, Village Voice Media executives Scott Tobias, Christine Brennan and Jeff Mars bought Village Voice Media's papers and associated web properties from its founders and formed Voice Media Group.Four months later, SF Weekly was sold to The San Francisco Newspaper Company, owners of The San Francisco Examiner and long-time rivals San Francisco Bay Guardian, giving the publishers control of three of the four major English-language newspapers in San Francisco. No plans have been announced to merge the three publications. Source: Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sf_weekly
