Scott Adams Bias Rating Moved from Center to Lean Right Following April 2025 Small Group Editorial Review

A group of three reviewers on the left, center, and right rated Adams as Lean Right on average in April 2025; however, there was much disagrement on the panel. The Lean Left reviewer argued he is Right; the Center reviewer argued he is Center, and the Lean Left reviewer argued his is Lean Right. 

The reviewer on the right noted Adams shares a lot of posts from right-wing accounts like End Wokeness and Libs of Tik Tok. The reviewer on the left said Adams' "feed is trashing Dems and boosting Trump; high emotionalism." Adams tweeted in favor of Trump's "chaos," arguing Democrats didn't have a better plan other than "certain doom."

In an April 2018 blog post, Adams wrote about his political views. AllSides rated Scott Adams as Center due to the views expressed in this post.  We gave this initial rating with low confidence.

In the post, Adams discusses his views on topics like immigration, guns, President Obama, and his party affiliation. He says he does not vote, but used to in the past. He registered Independent and voted Democrat twice, and has never voted Republican. Adams believes in free higher education, but not if it raises taxes. He supports inexpensive or free medical care, but "unlike Bernie [Sanders], I don’t see a way to get there by increasing taxes," he writes. He favors strong border security, but doesn't believe in deporting undocumented immigrants "who have been good residents and tax-paying virtual Americans for years." He says he supports "'extreme vetting' because that’s the world we live in."
