About Project Veritas's Bias Rating

Project Veritas is a news media source with an AllSides Media Bias Rating™ of Right.

Project Veritas was founded by conservative American political activist James O’Keefe. According to its website, the mission of Project Veritas is to:

"Investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical and transparent society."

What a "Right" Rating Means

Sources with an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Right display media bias in ways that strongly align with conservative, traditional, or right-wing thought and/or policy agendas. A Right bias is the most conservative rating on the political spectrum.

Project Veritas Moved from Lean Right to Right in Dec. 2021 Independent Review

An independent review of Project Veritas conducted in December 2021 by an AllSides staff member found that Veritas focuses almost exclusively on issues that interest the political right and seek to expose misconduct of people associated with the political left. Based on this review, Veritas's rating was changed from Lean Right to Right.
