Jon Stewart Rated Lean Left in April 2025 Small Group Editorial Review

A group of three reviewers on the left, center, and right rated Jon Stewart as Lean Left in an April 2025 review.

On X, Stewart posts clips of himself chatting with left-wing figures such as Pete Buttigieg and Ezra Klein on his podcast, The Weekly Show, as well as some right-wing figures such as Sohrab Ahmari, editor of Unherd.

"They are so afraid of waste, fraud, and abuse...that they build into the system, waste, fraud and abuse," he said, criticizing Elon Musk's DOGE initiative. 

Stewart spoke in favor of regulations on tech companies, including AI; he has said he was "shocked at Zuckerberg, Bezos" and expressed skepticism about Bezos' editorial shift for the Washington Post as "antithetical to what is actually happening...this idea that a more top-down society will increase personal liberty for people or produce free markets is a joke." He argued DEI enhances economic opportunity by "reanimat[ing] those supply lines...think of it as emerging markets...suddenly, you think of it as an engine for economic growth."
