Charles Lane has been an editorial writer for the Washington Post since 2000, where he writes primarily on economic and fiscal policy. He was previously an editor of New Republic from 1993-1999, and a correspondent for Newsweek from 1987-1993. He is a regular television guest on Fox News, and was a Pulitzer finalist for editorial writing in 2009.
