Russia-Ukraine Crisis: Where To Get Live Coverage
Summary from the AllSides News Team
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has dominated the homepages of most mainstream news outlets in the U.S., Ukraine and across the world, many of which have a live news feed dedicated to the ongoing military invasion.
Russian President Vladimir Putin launched what he calls a "special military operation" in Ukraine on Feb. 24. Since then, Russian troops have advanced through the country from the east and the south, targeting major cities and seeking control of nuclear power plants. Economic sanctions from countries who oppose the attack, including the U.S., have already had negative effects on the Russian economy. Many Russians as well as tens of thousands of Europeans have continued to protest Putin's invasion of Ukraine. American journalist Brent Renaud was killed by Russian soldiers on Sunday in a town outside Kyiv. Also, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that his country is having conversations with Russia on a daily basis, and a fourth round of peace talks between the two countries are set for Monday.
