Harris Looks to Stand Out From the 2020 Pack

Headline Roundup June 12th, 2019

Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), one of the first few politicians to announce their 2020 run, unveils new plans to stand out from the twenty two other candidates, this week. Headlining the policy issues are immigration and Donald Trump; Harris says that she would give her attorney general full discretion to press criminal charges against Donald Trump- while also giving DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) recipients a path to citizenship. Harris currently sits around 10% in both national and Iowa polls, but has shown a slightly downwards trend since Biden entered the race.
