Details

In December 2000 the Standard Journal Newspaper was purchased by Pioneer Newspapers, a small, family-owned media company comprised of small- to medium-sized community newspapers throughout the beautiful Northwest. For more than 30 years, Pioneer has focused on print publishing, but today is evolving into a more diverse multimedia company through multiple publishing platforms to serve a growing audience. The Standard Journal benefits from being a part of a group of 21 other newspapers, including the Idaho Press-Tribune, Idaho State Journal, Teton Valley News and the Preston Citizen, other Idaho newspapers. Standard Journal Media currently creates jobs for over 75 individuals. The key to the Standard Journal’s success is autonomy in making decisions at the local level.
