The Listen First Project was founded by Pearce Godwin in 2013 after he wrote "It's Time to Listen" and received great response. He founded Listen First Project to turn words into action and "make a tangible impact towards rebuilding civil discourse and bridging divides in America and around the world." Since it's founding, Listen First Project has grown through the Listen First Essay Series, the Listen First, Vote Second campaign, the Listen First pledge, and the Listen First Coalition.
