The reviewer noted Magnitude Media was explicit in revealing its agenda. Its About page stated:

"Our mission is to ensure that progressive values, messages, and leaders break through the noise of modern media and shape narratives at the intersection of culture and politics. At a time when the Right has dominated the modern media ecosystem to reshape public opinion and brand Democrats as extreme or negligent, Magnitude Media seeks to realign and amplify the Left’s voice to win the battle for meaning, emotion, and attention in America."

Magnitude Media employs social listening to quantify and track narratives and conversations emerging on social media platforms in order to aid the progressive left in messaging:

The reviewer noted that Magnitude Media put some outlets AllSides had rated as Lean Left at the time (CBS News, NBC News, ABC, and CNN) in the "Neutral (Political) Accounts" category in its roundups. It also had the Daily Mail, which AllSides rated Right at the time, in the Neutral category. The reviewer also noted that Magnitude Media sometimes adds addendums to content, sometimes labeled "Magnitude’s View." It also appeared to use the word "amplified" (instead of "posted" or "shared") more often in reference to right-wing content.
