Ezra Klein Rated Left in April 2025 Small Group Editorial Review

A group of three AllSides reviewers on the left, center, and right rated Ezra Klein Left in an April 2025 Small Group Editorial Review. 

Klein has called himself a "tax and spend liberal" and criticized Trump for his scarcity mindset. "One thing Abundance throws into sharp relief is how totally Trump has embraced scarcity: Fewer people, less trade, a broken and corrupted government. They didn't need to make these choices. It's crap politics. But this is the future Trump wants," he said. 

His co-author, Derek Thompson, positioned their latest book, Abundance, as anti-Department of Government Efficiency. On Trump Klein added, "For all Trump's talk of manufacturing jobs, you didn't see the CEOs of GE and Caterpillar sitting in the prime seats today. You saw the CEOs of Amazon and X and Meta and Google and TikTok. It's the attentional oligarchs whose power he cares about," and "The reason Trump's corruption is going to be such a gift to Dems is that he doesn't try to hide it because he doesn't think it's wrong. But most Americans do think it's wrong. The oligarchs literally lining up behind him may eventually wish they hadn't. Being the face of this is good business now. But in 4 years?"
