Freedom During America's 250th Anniversary

As the nation celebrates its 250th year, it’s a crucial time to reflect on the founding principles of the American project. America, once an ambitious idea, is now a reality, but as its citizens we all must fight to keep it. We must disagree courageously, but stay in the room, as the founding fathers once did.

National Roundtable on Freedom and America attendees will be matched into diverse conversation groups of 4-6 and guided through proven discussion prompts, ensuring that every voice is heard. By participating, Americans can take an active role in pushing back against toxic polarization because belonging doesn't end where we disagree. Join a community of problem solvers and be heard in a conversation that actually matters.

The National Roundtable on Freedom and America is the signature event of National Week of Conversation 2026, occurring April 6-12. To learn more about this national campaign, visit https://www.conversation.us/campaigns#nwoc.
