The Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI have concluded they have no credible evidence that Jeffrey Epstein ran a blackmail operation on powerful people, had a “client list,” or was murdered, according to a memo obtained by Axios (Lean Left bias). A Wired (Lean Left) analysis said that nearly three minutes of footage were cut from what the FBI described as the "full raw" surveillance video taken before Epstein's death.

Epstein was an infamous convicted sex offender with ties to many notable people. Over the years, files related to Epstein have been released, though with redacted information. Last month, Elon Musk claimed President Donald Trump wouldn’t release the Epstein files in full because he was included in them, though Musk has since deleted the post.

Prominent voices have remained skeptical of Epstein’s death since the memo was released, including House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN). Voices on the left positioned the controversy as a rallying cry for common ground, while voices on the right emphasized a call to action to the Trump administration.

Glenn Beck (Right) posted on X, “The MAGA movement was built on trust and transparency. We voted for Trump because he promised to unleash radical transparency like we’ve never seen before. He did it with the JFK Files. We saw the facts and moved on when we didn't find a smoking gun… That's why we can't be satisfied with this…The administration MUST release what they can and ask the courts to unseal their evidence.”

Terry Moran (Lean Left) argued, “The uproar in MAGA against Donald Trump himself over Attorney General Pam Bondi’s attempt to deep-six the Epstein files is a crucial moment, a way to find common ground and work together to get the full truth about Epstein’s crimes and his friends... There is good work to be done across that gulf of polarization when it comes to bringing accountability to Epstein’s rich men, including, of course, his friend of 15 years, the current president of the United States.”

Matt Walsh (Right) said, “The administration invited influencers to the White House, handed them binders that said ‘Epstein Files: Phase 1,’ and staged a photo op outside with the binders. Now Trump calls the whole thing a dumb hoax. There is just no way for an honest person to look at this set of facts and come away with the conclusion that the administration is in the right on this issue.”

Ken Klippenstein (Lean Left) posted on his Substack, “An industrial scale child abuse operation was taking place right under the noses of the countless household names with whom Epstein socialized. Now those same household names are ever so happy to cast the battle as a war between conspiracy nuts and the sober-minded adults, completely gliding over the obvious indictment here of the very high society of which they are a part.”

Brenden Dilley (Right) said in an X post, “People I voted for to find the truth are now saying those previous assumptions were wrong, and as such, my opinion has changed on the matter. It's not rocket science.”

Freddie deBoer (Left) wrote, “I think that’s why the public has been so doggedly invested in finding some deeper logic in Jeffrey Epstein, some way to connect all the dots, and why this phenomenon has been so bipartisan. I think people need to believe that there’s a conspiracy because it makes this unique horror more digestible, more understandable… You can fantasize about stopping that kind of bad guy. But how do you stop that random uncle, that elementary school gym teacher, that mother’s new boyfriend who has every opportunity to slip through the cracks, never to be punished?”
