National Roundtable on the American Dream

How are you pursuing your American Dream?

Maybe it's buying a home. Maybe it's starting a business. Maybe it's planning for a comfortable retirement. Maybe it's helping your children have more opportunities than you did.

Join Us the Week of August 10, 2026

We'll be hosting a candid discussion about how Americans are thinking about opportunity, security, success, personal finances, and the future they hope to build.

In small groups, you'll talk directly with people from different backgrounds and walks of life, hearing how they are pursuing their goals, navigating challenges, and making important decisions about their work, family, money, retirement, and life.

Why It Matters

Most of us have a vision for the future we want. But the choices we make every day don't always move us toward that vision in the ways we expect. Sometimes they lead us somewhere even better. Other times, they help us discover what truly matters.

Insights from these conversations will be anonymized and shared as part of a national report so that others across the country can see how people like them are thinking about the future.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an AllSides Roundtable?

AllSides Roundtables are live online conversations where you'll join a small group of 4–6 people to discuss an important issue.

Better than a Zoom call but without any special software, you will meet with people from different perspectives and follow an integrated conversation guide to help everyone listen and be heard. Afterwards, you will get a report not only about what your group discussed, but also what the other groups discussed and discovered together — a report you can share widely.

How long does it take?

Plan for about 60–90 minutes total:
5–10 minutes: Welcome and instructions
45–75 minutes: Small group discussion
5 minutes: Quick closing survey

Do I need any special equipment or software?

Just a computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection, a camera, a microphone and speakers (or headphones), and an updated web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge).

No downloads or special software required. You'll join through a simple web link.
