Every American wants elections they can trust.
Right now, only 55% of Americans are confident that this November's midterm elections will be conducted fairly and accurately (Pew Research Center, July 2026). What would help Americans have greater confidence in their elections?
*Thursday's event will focus specifically on elections in North Carolina.
Why It Matters
Join us September 29–October 1 for candid, cross-perspective conversations about what makes elections trustworthy. The conversation will be grounded in five key principles for trusted elections: honest process, nonviolent campaigns, secure voting, responsible oversight, and trusted outcomes.
You'll talk in small groups of 4–6, alongside people who may see this differently than you do, and hear firsthand what's really shaping their confidence or their doubt. By the end, you have ideas for concrete next steps — whether adding your name to the Principles for Trusted Elections, connecting with election volunteer opportunities, or simply learning more.

What is an AllSides Roundtable?
AllSides Roundtables are live online conversations where you'll join a small group of 4–6 people to discuss an important issue.
Better than a Zoom call but without any special software, you will meet with people from different perspectives and follow an integrated conversation guide to help everyone listen and be heard. Afterwards, you will get a report not only about what your group discussed, but also what the other groups discussed and discovered together — a report you can share widely.
How long does it take?
One hour, with optional overtime conversation for 30 minutes:
- 5–10 min: Welcome and instructions
- 45–75 min: Small group discussion
- 5 min: Quick closing survey
Do I need any special equipment or software?
Just a computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection, a camera, a microphone and speakers (or headphones), and an updated web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge).
No downloads or special software required. You'll join through a simple web link.
