Federal Reserve

For many across the political spectrum, this refers to a crucial and trusted entity in the economic health of the United States.  Although this is an accepted player by many mainstream conservatives, there is a libertarian and leftist minority who regard it as a means of collusion between government and big banks.  From this perspective, the results of the Federal Reserve’s actions include inflation, recessions and depressions (including the Great Depression and the 2008 financial collapse) and exacerbated inequality.
