Congressional Republicans Investigate Foreign Donations to Universities

Headline Roundup August 4th, 2020

On Monday, Congressional Republicans sent a letter to top universities demanding they hand over all records of donations accepted from foreign governments, fearing a national security threat. The universities, including Harvard, Yale and New York University, have one week to produce all records of gifts, contracts and agreements with foreign governments since 2015.

As of Monday, there was little coverage of the story from center- and left-rated outlets.
