Supreme Court Temporarily Blocks Release of Mueller Documents

The Supreme Court denied a motion Wednesday to release grand jury materials collected as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation to the House Judiciary Committee. House Democrats have until June 1st to brief the high court on why the full case should be heard, arguing that there is an "ongoing presidential impeachment investigation." The Department of Justice has argued that releasing the documents will breach grand jury secrecy. Left-rated and right-rated outlets had few divergences in reporting, with many focusing on the fact that the blockage is temporary. Some left-rated voices suggested that DOJ efforts to keep the documents secret implies some form of guilt on the part of the Trump administration. Some right-rated voices suggested that House Democrats were fishing for a crime after failing in their attempt to impeach and remove President Donald Trump.
