Georgia Hand Recount Confirms Biden's Lead

Headline Roundup November 19th, 2020

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Thursday that a hand recount of Nov. 3 presidential election ballots confirmed Joe Biden as the state's winner. The audit was launched after unofficial results in the state showed Biden leading President Donald Trump by roughly 14,000 votes. According to Raffensberger, the audit "has aligned very close to what we had in election night reporting," and is on track to be certified by Friday. The recount's results were widely covered by left- and center-rated outlets; the story received less overall coverage from the right, though the county election official's termination was covered by the Washington Examiner.

Floyd County's Board of Elections met Thursday afternoon and voted to terminate him. Officials cited at least two reprimands he had received in the past six months.

The initial error occurred because county election officials under Brady's watch had failed to upload votes...
