Two men arrested during search of Hartford smoke shop on Park Street, police say
HARTFORD — A search of a smoke shop on Park Street on Wednesday lead to the seizure of drugs, cash and a gun, along with the arrests of two men, police say. In a release, Hartford police Lt. Aaron Boisvert said the search came as part of an ongoing effort to combat the sale of illegal drugs within the city. Man shot and killed inside Jersey City smoke shop
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- An investigation is ongoing after a man was shot and killed inside a smoke shop in Jersey City overnight.
It happened at Allstars Smoke Shop & Lounge on Danforth Avenue, police said.
Officers responded some time before 1 a.m. and were canvassing the area inside and outside the smoke shop.
It was not immediately clear if any arrests were made.

East Haven purse-snatching foiled after woman secured bag to shopping cart, police say
EAST HAVEN — Would-be purse snatchers were foiled Monday by a shopper who clipped her pocketbook to her cart, police said.
Although the thieves didn’t get their loot, East Haven police are looking for them and their red or maroon Kia Sportage getaway car. The car had Connecticut plates, but the number was not visible on surveillance cameras, police said.
