Iowa lawmakers have sent a bill to Gov. Kim Reynolds that would allow teachers and other school employees to obtain permits to carry guns on school grounds and grant them qualified immunity for using reasonable force. Gunshot hits window of Chicago Intrinsic Schools campus in Irving Park; nobody injured, school not on lockdown
According to Chicago police, just prior to 9:30 a.m., someone discharged a firearm in the 4500 block of West Belmont Avenue, near the Irving Park campus location of Chicago Intrinsic Schools. The outer pane of a glass window at the school was struck, police say, but the shot did not penetrate the second layer of glass.
