1 dead, 1 injured in SE Portland shooting
A shooting near Southeast 84th Avenue and Powell Boulevard killed a man and injured a woman Monday afternoon, in a second episode of violence to pierce Portland after an assault turned deadly in the Kerns neighborhood just two hours earlier.
The woman who was shot near the Lents neighborhood border is expected to survive her injuries, Portland police said.
