Air Quality Alert Issued for St. Cloud Wednesday
(KNSI) — The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has extended an air quality alert to include the St. Cloud area. The Air Quality Index is expected to reach the orange or unhealthy for sensitive groups category today. Heavy smoke from Canadian wildfires began affecting the Red River Valley Tuesday evening, and that smoke moved east overnight, reaching central Minnesota early Wednesday morning.
