Landlords filed suit against the city of St. Paul last year, alleging that the city’s rent-control ordinance violated their due process rights as well as the contract clauses of the Minnesota and U.S. constitutions. A man was shot and killed in St. Paul’s East side early Saturday morning. St. Paul police said officers responded to a report of shots fired shortly after midnight near the intersection of Payne Avenue and Arlington Avenue East. Muslim man charged in St. Paul mosque arson
A 42-year-old Muslim man with a prior arson conviction has been charged in Wednesday’s arson of a St. Paul mosque.
