Man hit, killed on Highway 80 in Jackson
JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle. The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 24 on Highway 80 near the Bel Air Shopping Center. Detective Tommie Brown said the victim is a white male. Be prepared for strong thunderstorms in Jackson County Thursday evening
A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 6:11 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 7 p.m. for Jackson County. Residents can expect wind gusts of up to 30 mph. Woman accused of shooting mother in Jackson
JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A woman has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting her mother in Jackson.
The shooting happened in the 4500 block of Whitehaven Drive on Tuesday, March 19.
Detective Tommie Brown said the victim was shot by her daughter, 34-year-old April Hughes.
Police arrested Hughes in connection to the case, and she was charged with attempted
