Pedestrian struck in fatal crash identified by coroner
CROWN POINT — A pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday in Gary has been identified as 32-year-old George Griffin III of Gary, according to the Lake County Coroner's Office.
Griffin was struck at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Grant Street, officials said.
He sustained multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, the coroner's office said.
