30 birds abandoned at Humane Society of Huron Valley in Ann Arbor
An Ann Arbor animal shelter is filled with chirping after taking in dozens of birds this week. The Humane Society of Huron Valley is now caring for 30 abandoned birds that were left outside the shelter Monday morning, the shelter said. This includes 26 parakeets packed into a cardboard cat carrier and four cockatiels in a cage. The birds deserved care and attention, said CEO Tanya Hilgendorf
