Armenia Says 19,000 Refugees Arrived From Nagorno-Karabakh
Armenia on Tuesday said a total of 19,000 refugees have so far arrived from Nagorno-Karabakh, a majority ethnic Armenian breakaway enclave defeated in a lightning offensive by Azerbaijan last week.
"At the moment, 19,000 forcibly displaced persons have crossed into Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh," Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan said in televised comments.
