15 people hurt in Easter Sunday morning crash involving a CATS bus in Charlotte
Fifteen people were injured after a crash involving a Charlotte Area Transportation bus early Sunday on Easter, according to paramedics.
All injuries were minor, MEDIC said. It was not immediately known if any other vehicles were involved in the crash or what caused the incident.

Providence police captain accused of smashing man's head to ground gets probation
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A Rhode Island police captain who was seen on video slamming a handcuffed man's head into the pavement during an arrest has been sentenced to a year of probation. Providence police Capt. Stephen Gencarella was sentenced Thursday after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault in connection with the July 3 incident.
