A California man disappeared after cliff diving along the coast of Maui into “very rough” ocean conditions on Monday during his Hawaiian vacation, according to authorities. The 42-year-old man, whose name hasn’t been released, went missing after he jumped from rocks into the ocean at a popular diving area called “Cliffhouse,” SFGate reported, adding that he might have been swept out to sea.

Smoke in region due to shift in wind, active wildfires throughout Virginia
There is a significant haze in the area due to smoke from active wildfires in Virginia. Smoke is being seen in Staunton, Augusta County, Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.
