BROOKLYN, NY — The polls closed at 9 p.m. in New York City, and all eyes were on a hotly contested race between Democrat Justin Brannan and Republican Ari Kagan for the 47th District. Early tallies Tuesday showed low voter turnout across New York City, CBS News reported. Pedestrian fatally struck by hit-and-run SUV driver in Brooklyn
A 46-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a hit-and-run SUV driver in Brooklyn, police said Tuesday.
The victim was crossing Fort Hamilton Parkway near 37th St. in Borough Park when the driver of a Honda CR-V struck him about 10:40 p.m. Monday and kept going, cops said.
