Woman suffers 'serious injuries' in Peoria shooting, police say
A woman suffered "serious injuries" in a shooting Tuesday morning in Peoria.
Peoria police say a woman was found with gunshot wounds in the 2500 block of West Marquette Street around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
There have been 103 shooting incidents in Peoria this year, according to Peoria police data — a 23% increase from 2022.
