An Atlantic County health system agreed to pay over $3 million in federal money, restitution and penalties in a settlement agreement with the government after improperly receiving millions in Paycheck Protection Program funds, authorities said Wednesday. U.S. District Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced the settlement with Shore Memorial Health System Wednesday afternoon after alleging Shore Memorial Physicians’ Group, an affiliate of the larger Shore Memorial Health System applied for and received $2.78 million in Paycheck Protection Program loans.
