Richmond clears last major hurdle to building minor-league ballpark

The agreement calls for a minimum total capacity of 9,000 spectators – architects have said the stadium will hold about 10,000 people, including those in the picnic area, grassy space and beer garden. The Squirrels can make minor changes to the stadium without the EDA's approval. And the Squirrels can sell advertising, as long as the products don't include cigarettes, firearms or adult activity.
