This Lafayette library director was illegally fired a year ago. Now, he's got his old job back.

Danny Gillane, the former Lafayette Public Library director who was illegally fired a year ago then rehired as interim director in April, has his job back. In a special meeting Wednesday, the library board voted unanimously to rehire Gillane as director of the parish's public library system after the other semi-finalist withdrew her application.
