Parent finds girl, 10, dead at home with throat slashed as forensics arrive

A child has been found dead at home with her throat slashed. The 10-year-old girl was found in the property by her parent at Emerald Lakes at Carrara, on the Gold Coast in Australia at 6pm local time on Tuesday. Emergency services attended but tragically the child was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say they are treating the death as suspicious.
