One dead in Fort Novosel helicopter crash

FORT NOVOSEL, Ala. (WTVY) - A helicopter crash at Fort Novosel has claimed at one life, Dale County Coroner John Cawley confirmed Wednesday afternoon. “I can confirm I was asked to respond to a helicopter crash at the base,” Cawley said. The crash site, per a source, is near Lake Tholocco. He could not immediately provide additional information. A Fort Novosel spokesperson had no immediate comment.
