Bangladesh PM resigns, leaves country after weeks of deadly protests

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and left the country Monday, according to media reports, after weeks of deadly protests led to hundreds of deaths. As the news broke, masses of cheering protesters stormed the prime minister's residence in the capital Dhaka. Jubilant-looking crowds waved flags, some dancing on top of a tank in the streets of Dhaka on Monday morning before hundreds broke through the gates of Hasina's official residence.
