Flood watch affecting 10 N.J. counties Tuesday and Wednesday

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch at 3:16 a.m. on Monday valid from Tuesday 5 p.m. until Wednesday 8 a.m. for Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington and Ocean counties. The weather service comments, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible." "Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas," comments the weather service. "You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in...
