A tropical depression could form as early as this weekend in the Gulf of Mexico and bring rough weather to the Tampa Bay area and other parts of Florida, forecasters say. A system forecasters have eyed for days has become a well-defined wave over the northeastern Caribbean Sea. The wave is churning out sloppy showers and thunderstorms.
