Montgomery County Schools reminds community of new cellphone policy

The Montgomery County Public Schools sent a notice in recent days reminding the community the school board has adopted a division-wide policy now in effect that prohibits student use of cellphones. Policy 7-3.3 prohibits students from using their phones during the school day without prior written permission from the school’s principal. Earbuds, smart watches, and other devices are included in this policy, according to a school system news release.
