One dead after fiery crash on I-270

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is dead after the vehicle they were a passenger in caught fire after hitting the back of a semi-truck on Interstate 270 in Jackson Township Thursday. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on I-270 westbound just east of Interstate 71 at approximately 3:26 p.m. The sheriff’s office said a 2022 Freightliner Semi-tractor trailer was driving west on I-270 when it started to slow down for traffic.
