Purdue University Northwest plans to develop a major quantum commercialization center at the site of the former Franciscan Health hospital in downtown Hammond. The university is looking to establish the Roberts Impact Lab at 5454 Hohman Ave. as part of a $40 million-plus downtown innovation district that would be a component of Hammond's broader downtown revitalization initiative.
