LSP: Gonzales man arrested for possession of child pornography

GONZALES, La. (WAFB) - An Ascension Parish man has been arrested and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography.
Louisiana State Police said Benton R. Bateman of Gonzales, 48, was taken into cusody after a joint investigation by the State Police Special Victims Unit and the FBI. The investigation began in March 2024.
On July 16, 2024, investigators executed search and arrest warrants at a home that belonged to Bateman.
He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail, officials added.
