Inmate’s death at Macon State Prison prompts investigation, Georgia officials say

An inmate at Macon State Prison died Wednesday, the Georgia Department of Corrections said. Few details were provided Thursday about the death of Jarod Williams, who was serving 20 years at the facility in Macon County for voluntary manslaughter out of Dekalb County.
