Accessible voting event gives voice to disability community

At the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living, staff provide an array of resources to people with disabilities so that they can, according to the Center’s executive director,Jesse Bethke Gomez, “help people really help themselves.” On July 11, when The Disability Freedom & Justice Caravan rolled into St. Paul and the Center to spread awareness and empower the disability community to vote, the center provided Minnesotans with disabilities with resources on accessible voting.
